On January 12, 2024 the academic community of the “Todor Kableshkov” Higher School of Transport celebrated its Patronus Day – 173 years since the birth of Todor Kableshkov – the apostle of the April Uprising, the legendary revolutionary and a bright person in the pantheon of immortal Bulgarian heroes.
Many teachers and employees of the university, friends and partners from educational institutions and business organizations, as well as representatives of the Club of officers and sergeants from the reserve and reserve of the former troops of the Ministry of Transport and VVTU gathered at the celebration. Prof. Stoyan Bratoev – Executive Director of “Metropolitan” EAD and Mr. Ivan Omajski – Deputy Executive Director of “Transport Construction and Reconstruction” and Chairman of the Club of Reserve Officers and Sergeants addressed the guests with congratulations.
In her celebratory speech, VTU rector Prof. Dr. Daniela Todorova addressed the audience with the words: “Over the years, we have proven that we can. And this gives us the courage to say that we are strong today and together we can survive tomorrow! It is our duty, both to history and traditions, as well as to the future and future generations, to continue to change and develop, to find opportunities to realize the potential that the Higher School of Transport “Todor Kableshkov” brings as a human, scientific and educational capital. We are proud that the name of Higher Transport School “Todor Kableshkov” is synonymous with reliability, professionalism and loyal partnership”.
At the end of the celebration, the academic leadership laid a wreath in front of the monument of Todor Kableshkov. Flowers and wreaths were also presented by representatives of the Club of Reserve and Reserve Officers from the VMT, “Transport Construction and Reconstruction” and others. A bouquet was also laid in front of the monument of Todor Kableshkov in the Boris garden.
