On December 5, 2023 In the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria – House of Europe, a meeting of European universities was held, organized by the embassies of France and Spain. At the official opening, the ambassadors of the two countries, Joel Meyer and Alejandro Polanco, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Maria Gabriel, and the Minister of Education and Science, Galin Tsokov, offered congratulations.
The event was attended by representatives of Spanish, French, German and Bulgarian universities that participate in various alliances created with the support of the European Union. Discussions were held on topics related to the role of research in European universities as a means of developing the alliances and the local economy. Prof. Dr. Chavdar Kolev and Assistant Dr. Kalina Semova attended the meeting as representatives of VTU.
