On December 11, 2023 students from the specialty “Network Information Security” (OKS “Master”), led by Prof. Dr. Eng. Dimitar Dimitrov, visited the Center for Excellence in Informatics and Information and Communication Technologies at the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies – BAS, where had the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest technologies in the development of the IT sector.
The students were able to see one of the latest acquisitions of the institute – the latest Hemus supercomputer, which is number 360 in the TOP500 world ranking and has a performance of 3 PetaFlops, 148 servers and non-blocking InfiniBand connectivity. The group also visited the Institute’s Data Center as well as the 3D Digitization and Microstructural Analysis Laboratory, where a portable 3D object scanning system was demonstrated.
